How to Mend a Tent
- Step One - Wash torn area of mesh or nylon and dry thoroughly.
- Step Two - Cut the right sized patch from the replacement nylon or mesh in the repair kit. Cut one more patch of the same size.
- Step Three - Apply adhesive glue to nylon or mesh patches. Let dry until it becomes tacky.
- Step Four - Place one patch on the outside of the tent, covering the torn area. Place the other patch on the inside of the tent, covering the torn area. Make sure the material is as smooth as possible to prevent leaking. Some like to sew the patch in place once they return from the field. This is not always necessary.
